The new security capabilities in Windows Server 2022 combine other security capabilities in Windows Server across multiple areas to provide defense-in-depth protection against advanced threats. Advanced multi-layer security in Windows Server 2022 provides the comprehensive protection that servers need today

It is May 24th.  I called QB Support this morning to verify that Enterprise 22.0 Release R4P would run under Microsoft Server 2022.  Our server hosts the data - we run QB on Desktops.  I was told that it would run under Server 2022.  This is critical and I trust QB Support to provide the correct answer.

They will support QBD 2021 until May 2024. I would recommend to try installing QBD 2021 on your Windows Server 2022. Make sure not to uninstall your Windows Server 2019 for the being. I'm not sure QBD 2022 will run on Windows Server 2022 smoothly at this time.

Hello - WHEN will QB Desktop be certified to work on Windows Server 2022 - it is now July 2022 and Server 2022 has been released for 11 months - what is taking Intuit so long to certify QB with this O/S? I have to replace an older 2008 R2 server and I am being offered Server 2022 as the only O/S option.

When are your people going to be finished with compatibility checking?

We have major problems with QBE2022 and are planning a new server and fresh install. QBE installs leave MANY leftover problem accounts, ports, etc and we've been running on this older server for a few years now. From what I see currently there are some permissions issues with prior QBE20xx related accounts that were never properly set and assigned despite using the Tool Hub and running through debug with support many times.

Our new server comes with Windows Server 2022 and we strongly prefer that option. We need Server 2022 support ASAP for our QBE2022!

Hello, Svanhart.

I'd like to give an update regarding the QuickBooks compatibility with Server 2022.

As of this moment, Windows Server 2022 isn't listed yet as part of the list of supported operating systems. Here's a guide that can give you the database servers that are compatible with your account.

I can understand how important to have this feature when working with application programming interfaces. Rest assured, I'll take note of your suggestions to help improve your experience.

You may also send feedback to our Product Development Team. We are tracking the requests we receive from our customers, and consider them when prioritizing feature development. You can follow my colleague's steps above on how to send feedback.

If you'd like to take a deeper look into our system requirements, feel free to check out these articles:

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. I'm always here to lend a hand. Take care!

I can certainly understand how an ability to integrate Windows Server 2022 with your books could be useful and have submitted a suggestion about it as of today.

You can also submit your own feature requests while signed in.

  1. In the top menu bar, go to Help, Send Feedback Online, then Product Suggestion....
  2. Choose a Type of Feedback and Product Area (optional) from your available drop-down menus.

Your feedback's definitely valuable to Intuit. It will be reviewed by our Product Development team and considered in future updates. You can stay up-to-date with the latest news about your product by reviewing Intuit's Product Updates webpage.

Hi Mashworth,

Thank you for joining us here in the Community space. I can help you log into your QuickBooks Desktop.

Are you getting an error? First, I recommend checking if you meet the system requirements for the 2022 version. You may also need to adjust some settings on your Antimalware and antivirus programs to get the best QuickBooks performance.

Next, you can install the latest updates manually from our download site. This way, any latest fixes and updates are installed on the program.

Once done, run some troubleshooting if QuickBooks won't respond or you get an error that says it stopped working, Start with running the Quick Fix My Program from the QuickBooks Tools Hub. You can follow the detailed steps in the order shown in this link: QuickBooks Desktop won't open.

If you notice possible data issues or suspect data damage, you can perform some troubleshooting steps. I've attached an article you can visit for additional guidance in QuickBooks: Fix data damage on your QuickBooks Desktop company file.

Get back to us if you need further assistance accessing the QuickBooks program. We'll be sure to keep in touch with us in this space. Have a great day ahead.
