Question

QBD suddenly not SYNCING with QB Time

Yesterday, I could sync TSheets/QB Time from within Quickbooks desktop. Today, after I attempt to "Enter Time=>Sync Quickbooks Time" then enter my login credentials, it comes back with some error. I've spoken with QB Time support three times, and QBD support. No one can help. It's obviously an issue arising from Intuit's TSheets to QB Time transition. If I can't get this resolved I'm switching my entire company to another provider.

Good morning, @Williampatrick. Welcome to the Community and thank you for bringing this to our attention.

This is a part of a current investigation our team is looking into. I highly recommend contacting support so that they can add you to the list of affected accounts and you can receive updates on their progress. Tell them you've been affected by INV-00254.

Here's an article on the best ways to do this: Contact QuickBooks Time Support

Our Support Team also has some workarounds they can try to get your account syncing again. Thank you for your patience and know that you are working diligently to get this fixed!

I have spent an entire work shift, and spoke to three Support Team Individuals and they were absolutely no help whatsoever. They had no idea what they were doing. I suggest getting this fixed quickly before my business and many others take our needs elsewhere. Next time you waste your time responding, at least include some solutions.

Just an update.  I worked with QB Time this morning and they wanted me to download WebConnector to get the date over from QB Time.  After several unsuccessful attempts, I have given up and asked them to fix the sync process since we are paying for it to work.  I literally am going to hand enter all my time today to be able to do payroll, in hopes they get this problem fixed.  So frustrating and disappointing.

June 9, 2021

On Sunday, June 6th the seamless syncing between QB Time and QB online stopped working. In addition our Team members timesheets entered through the mobile app are no longer showing up in the Time record. I have been on the phone for 3 days with Time and Intuit people. No one knows what's going on. This has been a great product up until now. We are considered looking for another time tracking application. In the meantime our team members are manually recording their hours and texting them to our invoicing department. What a step backwards!

Has there been a fix for this problem? I have encountered the same issue last night while doing my payroll. What is everyone doing if it hasn’t been fixed?

Hello Michellebmartin,

Thank you for coming to the Community! As my colleague mentioned above, the best way to deal with this situation is by contacting our QB Time Support so our agent can perform a few steps on our end. In the meantime, we recommend integrating via the web connector until the investigation is fully resolved.

Please let me know how the conversation goes. I will be here to assist you with any questions, as well as my team! Take care.

That is my error log after trying to web connector. "Oops! You are not configured to use QB Web Connector."

I have been on multiple calls with multiple support personnel in both QB Desktop and in QB Time. We have been using TSheets for years, and NEVER had a problem till QB purchased Tsheets. Now Intuit has messed it all up. I, too, will be doing my second payroll manually since the two QB products cannot talk to each other.

Hi @LLIFJANELLE.

Thanks for reaching out to the Community for help with your Web Connector error. I know how important it is to have your time syncing with your payroll to help save time. I’d love to help.

Without having all of the details, I believe I’ve got the steps to get you back on track.

The first thing we want to do is make sure that the QuickBooks Online integration is uninstalled. To do that, from within your QuickBooks Time account:

  1. Go to Feature Add-ons, then select Manage Add-ons.
  2. From the INSTALLED section, find QuickBooks Online Integration and select UnInstall.

Next, let’s connect the QuickBooks Desktop: Setup and use QuickBooks Desktop for Windows and QuickBooks Time integration

For additional information about the integration, check out this article: QuickBooks Time and QuickBooks Desktop Integration FAQs

I’d love to know how this goes. Feel free to reach out with any other questions. I’m here to help!

Is this issue still not resolved?  Client contacted me about this error and thankfully i found this post before I spent hours on a support call with no resolution.  Can someone from qb time update me please?  Our clients need to run payroll and bill their customers, this is a real time problem that should be a priority to your engineering team.

Hey there, @sb123 and @kristija

Thank you both for expressing your concerns with us on this thread. We understand this has been an inconvenience to both of your business's. Please know that this is a top priority to our Development Team.

Our development team is working around the clock to get this matter resolved, but for now, it is still in progress, and using the web connector is our verified workaround. Sb123, contacting our QuickBooks Time Support team is the best way to get yourself added to the list for updates, and also how support can add the web connector to your account.

Kristija, I'm happy that the web connector has been successful for you this week. Please know that we are always available to help with any errors. The error 1085 should not affect the syncing and is only referencing an issue with the log file. Closing the error window will allow the sync to resume.

Lastly, I wanted to address that the web connector can only be downloaded on one computer at a time. For example, if the web connector is set up on computer A, trying to use it on computer B will break the connection on the other computer. I understand this is a limitation, but as of right now that's the best course of action for this investigation.

Please let me know if you guys have any questions or concerns. Take care!

RE: INV-00254

We would like to join the long list of companies experiencing this issue with not connecting QB with Quick time. Our experience started weeks ago also with our employees not being able to clock in due to there emails and information lost by T-sheets. Our employees were pushed to get an Intuit account to be able to sign and clock in. Not once were we notified via email from Quickbooks or QB-Time or T-Sheets  this issue was happening and sending instructions how to fix. This is another poor integration and a quick lunched service for paying customers without regard. This situation seems to be typical, New Jersey Experienced problems in 2021 all the way up to tax day May 15th this year to file online with New Jersey, QB was unprepared, offered no restitution, and there was no email notifications sent to QB customers at anytime to let them QB was working on the issue. Now I'm also stuck doing payroll manually with no integration between TSheets and QB-time. Please add us to this list for INV-00254. I myself experienced the same trouble Wednesday on our payroll day (We use QB direct deposit). Up until last week the syncing worked. It wasn't until we tried to sync this week did we have a problem. I spent 7 hours on Wednesday with support from Quickbooks and QB-time. I see how QB blames QB-Time for the error (happened to me too), but no one seems to explain engineering is working on a solution and in the mean time they offer a web connect alternative but its necessary to delete are records of jobs and start over with web connect. From seeing other companies responses, seems that solution also has drawbacks and errors. Completely unacceptable in my eyes, while our employees are in the field and would not be able to sign into and out of jobs. No guaranty from support this method work work without this delete procedure, and i feel uncomfortable deleting anything. We come to find out after many hours on the phone with QB-Time, the ADIM (QB-Time) does not mach the master ADMIN  (QB) and that can be resolved if I send the following pieces of information below.

QuickBooks Time Account. Case: 03745952

Incorporation

Provide all of the following documents:

  • Articles of incorporation
  • Corporation bylaws
  • Shareholders agreement

I also do not see the need nor am I comfortable sending this information to QB. to record an employees time record. Who came up with that from support? I stopped right there and I asked to speak to a supervisor. Of course none were available and they said someone would would contact me with-in 24 hours from QB-Time. I joined the club, no one ever returned any call form QB-Time. I am extremely upset to find this thread which explains all these customers frustrations and no general notification vial email to its paying customers. Intuit is quick to offer new features without any recourse when it doesn't work. Support has been a complete disaster.

I would like to be contacted today from a supervisor at QB-Time My email is [email address removed]

Please leave a direct number so i can call and get this resolved before Monday when i start searching for an alternative source.  I can't seem to pay for a service that doesn't work nor is integrated properly, there is no excuse, only solutions. Please expedite or lose the business and income source. Not Happy! business is tough enough in this environment. Using QB since 2007. Using TSheets  alittle over a year.
