Resetting TSheets Password

I can't remember my password, so I get a code sent to me. I want to change my password to one I will remember, but when I try to do this, it asks me for a password. This seems like it shouldn't be that way.

I've got some steps to reset your QuickBooks Time passport, gyap2021. 

 

We can reset your QuickBooks Time password to recover your credentials. Once it is reset, you'll be able to sign in again as normal. Here's how to reset the password on your computer: 

  1. Go to quickbooks.intuit.com/time-tracking and choose Sign in.
  2. Select QuickBooks Time.
  3. Enter your Email or User ID.
  4. If prompted, choose Sign in with QuickBooks Time or Sign in with Intuit.
  5. If you selected Sign in with QuickBooks Time, select I forgot my user ID or password. Then, enter your email address or mobile number, and tap Recover my info. Once done, open the email or text from QuickBooks Time Support and click Reset your password.
  6. If you selected Sign in with Intuit. Go to Try something else. Then, enter the phone number, email address, or user ID, then Continue. Check your phone or email for a message from Intuit or QuickBooks Time. Enter the code we sent, or follow the instructions in the message. Once done, press Reset password.

You will simply go to accounts.intuit.com, and sign in using their email or username. Here, you can update your password and security information so you can get logged in.

No, this is the problem.  When I go there, it wants my login and password.  Since I don't know the password, I have to "send a code."  This time, I entered the code and it said it STILL wanted a password!  Again, I don't know it.  To change it, I have to know it.  I'm in a loop!

I understand how frustrating this may be when trying to log into your QuickBooks Time account. However, we have a few troubleshooting steps that should do the trick to fix this problem. 

 

Using a private browser or incognito window will help eliminate any glitches or errors that could be happening on the back end of your account. Here's how depending on your browser session: 

 

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl Shift + N
  • Internet Explorer/Firefox: Ctrl Shift 
  • Safari: Command Shift 

 

Afterward, go back to your regular session and clear your browser's history. This will allow QuickBooks to load as a fresh new page.

  Thanks for taking the time to help me with this.  I have a question.

  When you say:

 Does that mean I do the clearing on the regular page or on the incognito window?  I don't want to mess anything up, as I have some browser history I don't want to lose.

You clear your browser's history on the regular session, not the incognito window/private browser. Here's a guide that can explain more and tell you how to clear it: Clear cache and cookies to fix issues
