Buy nowWe have recently switched form QB Enterprise to QBO Advanced. In Enterprise there is a report called Inventory Stock Status that had a column for Qty on Hand and a column for On Sales Order resulting in a third column Quantity Available. Does such a report exist in QBO? I have not been able to find a report that takes into account units that are on a Sales Order. Do I need to customize an existing report ?
Hello there, fmkport. You can run two separate reports to modify inventories on hand and quantities available in your account. I can walk you through these processes.
In QuickBooks Online Advanced, specific reports are available to track inventory items on hand and quantities recorded from a Sales Order. You can run separate reports and export them to an Excel file, then merge these data.
Thus, to check the item quantity used in a transaction and the inventory available on hand, you can run the Inventory Valuation Detail report. Here's how:
Once done, export the report to an Excel file to merge these data to the other downloaded report.
You can also run the Open Sales Order by Item report and customize the data to show the quantity used in a Sales Order. Then, export.
Additionally, you'll want to seek additional guidance from our QuickBooks Live Expert Assisted team to help you keep track of your inventory workflows.
Moreover, you'll want to save a customized report to help improve data accessibility or share it with other users.
These detailed steps help you manage your overall inventories and customer transactions, fmkport. Reach out to us in the comments below if there's anything else you need assistance with. We'll be around to assist.
This button to find qty on hand in sales order page was available in QB 2023 premier, not in 2024 version. I called QB special desk and found out they took out this button which I think is a mistake.
Way around is minimize sales order little bit and open List/item/inventory and minimize that page also and keep both pages open and go back and forth. This is only way I could figure out.
Can you find the same button in Enterprise?
