Quickbooks Bug Troubleshooting: Receipts not moved from Processing to For Review. They are gone.

I used the Android app on my Note 8 to "Snap Receipt". I photoed 54 different receipts with the app from about 8:30pm PDT on 4/30 until 12:30am on 5/1/20. I had QBO open at the same time and saw them go into the "processing" area in the receipts tab. Only 8 receipts showed up under "For review". The other 46 receipts are gone/missing. There is no longer a "processing" area and there is only a total of 8 receipts in the "for review" tab. It's been 2 hours since I finished. I rebooted, tried different browsers, had another user try it on an a different login on another computer, used private/incognito windows, and cleared my cookies and cache. There is still only 8 receipts. They are not in "reviewed" either. What happened?

Let's keep your account updated by re-uploading your receipts, @info979. This time, I'd recommend doing it by batch to make sure every single receipt will be processed and recognized by the system.

There are times that QuickBooks is overwhelmed with the uploaded files. You'll have to make sure you are using supported PDFs and images with jpeg, jpg, gif, or png format.

To prevent it, you'll have to upload your receipts by batch. This way, you'll be able to successfully upload all your files in the For review tab. Here's how to upload receipts and bills from your mobile device.

  1. Open the QuickBooks Online app.
  2. Tap Menu ≡.
  3. Select Receipt snap.
  4. Tap the Receipt Camera and snap a photo of your receipt (1-10 receipts in every batch).
  5. Tap Use this photo.
  6. Tap Done.

After that, visit the Receipts tab's For review section to check the uploaded files. You need to repeat the same process until the last receipt.

Once done, you can now review, edit and match the receipts and bills to your transactions. For the detailed steps, kindly visit this article's Step 2: Review, edit, or match receipts and bills section: Capture and categorize receipts and bills. It also contains tips on what to do if you have sales tax turned on in your company file.

Please let me know if you have other concerns. I'm just around to help.

That's the thing. I was going super slowly as I mentioned doing over a 4 hour period. And they were small batches.  It was in the US evening 8:30 pacific time until past midnight.   I used the Receipt Snap and never did a batch more than 5 or 10 receipts at a time every half hour or so.   I doubt it was heavy usage at that time for the US version.

What now? just try again and keep my fingers crossed?  I'm getting really tired of these bugs wasting my time. :(
