Does New Invoicing Support Price Lists?

Got the email message from QB that on May 6/24 the invoicing will change to the new format and the old one will no longer be an option. We still use the old invoicing because a year ago, the new format did not support pricing levels. This is very important as we have customers with different price levels. So we had no choice. Does the new invoicing offer all the features of the legacy invoicing including support for pricing levels?

Does New Invoicing Support Price Lists?

Hello there, RickMeister. I understand how the price lists feature would benefit your business. Allow me to share some insights about the new invoice layout in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

The option to set up a price rule or list is currently unavailable in the new layout. QBO has undergone an update that required customers to switch from the old invoice experience to the new one.

If you're using the Simple Start version, switching back to the old layout is no longer available. However, if you're using other versions, we can switch back to the old invoice experience and revert your invoice to the old layout.

We appreciate your patience and encourage you to provide Feedback directly to our product engineers. This will help them understand on how important this feature is to your business and consider adding the option to QBO.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Select Feedback.
  3. Enter your suggestion and click Submit Feedback.

You can check out this article about the latest updates to invoices and estimates in QuickBooks Online, and some new features could be helpful: See What's New with Estimates and Invoices in QuickBooks Online.

Furthermore, you can also visit this article on how to personalize and add specific info to your sales forms: Customize invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QuickBooks Online.

Feel free to comment below for further assistance regarding QuickBooks Online layouts. I'm always here to help you out. Have a wonderful day.

Does New Invoicing Support Price Lists?

This is terrible! Who makes stupid decisions like this? Our whole business relies on price lists for different customers. We cannot do this manually. I'm sure many other companies use price lists too. I guess we'll have to find another accounting software.
