How can I export a specific estimate into Excel?

Apparently, Intuit is using their user base to get free tech support for customers. Even a simple task, as exporting a specific estimate into the txt or csv file is too much for them to accomplish. They rathe sell us some useless features that they can charge more for.
I am just trying to compare and optimize a few different estimates, have the same products in one column and then multiple columns with different pricing for some pricing analyses.
Too much to ask it seems for a service like this. It is indeed time to move on and find something better than CrapBook Online.

How can I export a specific estimate into Excel?

Hello there, @khs

We do understand that this feature would be a great addition to our product if it were ever available. Having this feature to export specific estimates in QuickBooks Online would give it more flexibility and allow it to be more organized.

I recommend passing this information to our Product Team for consideration for implementation in future product updates. However, it still depends on the number of requests we receive from customers.

Here's how:

  1. Click the Gear icon and choose Feedback.
  2. Enter your feedback Suggestion.
  3. Press Next.

You can track the progress of your request by visiting our Feedback forum page.

For future reference, you can read through this resource to personalize and add specific information to your sales forms: Customize invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QuickBooks Online.

The Community space is still open for you. So, if you have questions about any transactions or want to share your best practices in QBO, let us know, and we'll be here to help. Take care always.

@khs

Use an exporter tool.

How can I export a specific estimate into Excel?

This response ist just like any typical response form the Intuit support group: not really helpful.

if I knew how to "use an exporter tool" I would obviously not ask how to do this.

So, what exporter tool and where can your get it?

Also, many reference talk about "exporting a list of estimates". That is not what ai am looking for. As I described, I am j retested in exporting the estimate so that I can use it in Excel. But not in a way that it dumps all information randomly in a single column in Excel. That is useless obviously. You can do that by just copying they r from the PDF, that does not provide any useful results.

Thanks.

what you are showing is a simple report.

Hello,  I just wanted to follow up on this and was wondering if you were ever able to do this.

How can I export a specific estimate into Excel?

Currently, exporting a specific estimate directly to Excel is unavailable, @happyelectricllc.

I recognize the importance of managing your estimates in Excel. As a workaround, you can manually copy the details of the specific estimate and input them into an Excel spreadsheet. Alternatively, you can also look for third-party applications that integrate with QBO, providing more flexible export options for estimates.

In the meantime, we encourage you to submit your request to our product engineers through the feedback system. Your input is invaluable in shaping our product's future features. Here’s how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon at the top.
  2. Select Feedback.
  3. Enter your comments or product suggestions.
  4. Then select Next to submit feedback.

You can monitor the status of your request by visiting our  Feedback forum page. This platform allows you to stay updated on your submission's progress and engage with other users who might have similar interests or concerns.

I've included an article that explains how to personalize and add specific information to your sales forms. This resource will help you tailor your forms to meet your business needs and ensure that your documentation accurately reflects the details necessary for effective management and communication: Customize invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QBO.

How can I export a specific estimate into Excel?

I tried to copy and paste the entire estimate as awhole and it doesn't work as discribed with the first response as the words inside the cells don't copy over.  For clarification I took the top corner and then highlighted to the bottom corner and went to the first cell in google sheets spreadsheet and hit paste.
