Question

My client is getting a "Website is Unsafe" warning when he clicks on my invoice link in the invoicing email. Why? And how can he pay me with this problem?

I sent my first invoice through Intuit email invoicing in march, No problems with the link, Now for the second invoice, the client, an accounting firm, is getting a "website is Unsafe" warning as soon as he clicks on the link in the invoicing email. He of course cannot continue. So I am not getting paid. Please provide insights.

Since your customer's encountering an error message which doesn't allow them to pay their invoice, I'd recommend having them go through some of our recommended troubleshooting.

 

Here's how:

  • They're going to want to confirm their web browser's up-to-date.
  • If it continues occurring in one browser, they can try switching to a different one to see if they get different results. The customer can also right-click their Review and pay button in the email, then copy their URL, open the browsing application, and paste it into their address bar.
  • Clear their browser's cached data and Intuit-specific cookies.

 

QuickBooks Payments works best with the following browsers:

  • Google Chrome
  • Mozilla Firefox
  • Internet Explorer
  • Safari

@rvrfrf, do we need to add Intuit as a trusted site somehow? what do you think?

That would be a great idea! Adding Intuit as a trusted site prevents the browser from potentially blocking site content.

 

To add Intuit in Google Chrome, follow these steps:

  1. Select the Customize and control Google Chrome ⋮ icon and choose Settings.
  2. In the left pane, select Privacy and security, and then Site Settings.
  3. Select Cookies and site data.
  4. In the Allow section, select Add.
  5. Enter *intuit.com, then select Add to save.
