yes. it is impossible to edit invoice, all new bills open the last old bill, projects do not add hour, invoices or parts. I would like to export all my data from quickbooks online back to quickbook desktop but was told that was impossible.

Who told you that? Check the following reference as one of the options

both quickbooks and an accountant I called.

Quickbooks has the absolute worst customer service. and for a product that does not work as it is supposed to is just a recipe for disaster.

I have now talked to over 7 customer service people and 1 of them was able to wipe all my transactions for the past month. I have been told there is no way to get these back. QuickBooks online had no backup and I am completely screwed. Thanks for trying to sink my business QuickBooks online. 

I have now talked to over 7 customer service people. Not a single one could help me with any of my problems, seems like they were also trying to figure out how to use this program. 1 of the customer service reps was able to wipe all my data from QuickBooks online for the last month, then told me there was no backups and there is nothing they could do. I have now lost over a month of invoices bills and all other transactions I have added. QuickBooks online has severely impacted my business in the worst way. I have no invoices to charge people now and no clue what I owe for taxes. I would highly recommend to never use this product to anyone. Unless you have murdered countless innocent people and have been sentenced to use QuickBooks online as a punishment.
