Text wrap on custom form field

I've downloaded a custom template for Invoices from QB online.  There is a field in the heading for Project name.  The field is not typically wide enough for the data that I have entered for my projects.  The data is truncated, with "..." appended to the end.  I would like this field to wrap to the next line, and have expanded the box on the template to allow it to do so, with the data does not wrap.  Is there a mwans to get these data fields to wrap when the content of the field exceeds the width of the box allowed for them?

"I've downloaded a custom template for Invoices from QB online."

From the Gallery? Not from the QB Online Program?

"There is a field in the heading for Project name."

That is Job. Open Customer Center and Add Job = subcustomer, for tracking.

"The field is not typically wide enough for the data that I have entered for my projects."

Job Name is limited to 41 characters, I think:

Character limitations for fields in QuickBooks

"The data is truncated, with "..." appended to the end."

You Customize the design using Customization, then Layout Designer, to get to the Graphic View, to change graphic elements and widen that field.

" would like this field to wrap to the next line"

It doesn't Wrap. Go to Layout Design and move that, for instance, to above the body color block on the right side and below PO#, to make room for you to make it Longer. I don't like the text fields mixed into the accounting area with due dates, anyway. Or, shorten the Job Name, such as WRV for Wood River Valley. Or, move that entire block of text to the left. Move "Project" label box to left align with PO, and make the Data Field box wider. Or, drop the font size just a bit.

Did anyone find out how to get a customized field to word wrap in a template? Also, I would like to go past the 30 character limit. Please help.

Has Quickbooks come up with a solution to allow wrapping of words in fields.  Our part numbers are exceptionally long, but our customers only see a portion of it.  They need to see the entire thing for their records.  I would love some suggestions.

I'm here to share details about formatting text in your custom field, especially when your part number is lengthy, rkipp7111.

Currently, QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) doesn't have the option to wrap text in custom fields when it exceeds the field length. With this, I recommend sending feedback to our product engineers. They continuously introduce new features, interfaces, and other improvements to accommodate users' business needs.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Help menu and select Send Feedback Online.
  2. Choose Product Suggestion.
  3. Provide the type of feedback and your feature suggestion.
  4. Once done, click Send Feedback.

Additionally, QuickBooks provides a variety of templates that you can use. If you encounter any problems while using or customizing templates, you can refer to this article for assistance: Fix common issues when you use and customize templates.
