Thanks for posting in the Community, @satchmarg.

May I ask what kind of deposit is this? Is it income or expense. Any additional information will help me make sure that I can provide you with the best resolution.

Moreover, if it's a bank deposit, you can edit the wrong account and change it to the correct one. I'll show you how:

  1. Go to the Sales tab.
  2. Click on over to the All Sales section.
  3. Locate and pick the payment.
  4. Beside Reference no., press the Deposit to the drop-down box and select an account other than Undeposited Funds to deposit to.
  5. Click Save and Close or Save and New

Also, you can create a Journal entry if the balance will be transferred from one account to another. Here's how:

  1. Go to the + New icon.
  2. Select Journal entry under Other.
  3. Fill out the fields to create your journal entry.
  4. Click Save and new or Save and close.

I'm adding these articles to learn more about Undeposited Funds and how to record bank deposits. It'll also assist you in managing multiple payments received outside and record them in QuickBooks.

Stay in touch with me if there’s anything else I can do for you. Have a good one!
