i had to replace my hard drive and now cannot access QB Pro 2016, just the spinning wheel of death on the  opening page. What do i need to do. I've used the QB Tools Hub but nothing seems to fix the problem.

I really appreciate you trying the QuickBooks Tool Hub to get back into your software. If QuickBooks Desktop Pro 2016 keeps showing a spinning wheel after you replaced your hard drive, you need to verify that the program and company file were reinstalled/restored correctly. Here’s how:

  1. Choose Window, then Close All.
  2. Verify Data, then Choose File.
  3. Click Utilities, then Verify Data.

Look for an error message, then rebuild your company file data to correct the problem.

If the issue persists, try reinstalling QuickBooks Desktop. This can fix deep system errors that a standard repair tool might miss.

If you are still having trouble, please contact our Intuit expert team to check your licensing and activation.

Additionally, please note that QuickBooks Desktop Pro 2016 has been discontinued and no longer receives technical support or other Intuit services. You may want to consider upgrading to the latest version of QuickBooks to continue using the product with access to the newest features and support.

Please let us know if you need further assistance.

@bywilde Install the trial version of QB Desktop 2024 to isolate the problem.
