Could I get step by step instructions on how to uninstall quick books pro 2024 and reinstall it.

One problem, I can not get into my quick books. Everytime I try it wants to do a software update and that keeps failing.

the email (the last one) I got for the latest version of quick books was October 2023. Dont know if the lic. number and product number would be the same. Also, since I can't get into quick books, I can not do a back up.

However, if your QBDT still won't open, let's run some troubleshooting steps using the QuickBooks Toll Hub to resolve the issue.

You can follow the steps below:

Exit QuickBooks.
Download the latest version of the QuickBooks Tool Hub and save it in an accessible location like your Downloads folder or desktop. If you've downloaded it before, check if it's up-to-date by selecting the Home tab at the bottom.
Run the downloaded QuickBooksToolHub.exe.
Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation and agree to the terms and conditions.
Double-click the icon on your desktop to launch the Tool Hub.

If you're unable to find the icon on your desktop, you can use the search function in Windows to locate the program and select it.

On the other hand, the license number and product number remain the same for the same version of QBDT. Once you have registered your product online, you can retrieve your license number by visiting this link: Accounts Management Portal (CAMPS).
