Greetings, @lindak1119.

The General Journal (Ledger), also referred to as the Chart of Accounts, can be accessed in QuickBooks Online by navigating to the Accounting tab on the left-hand side. Every transaction you record will affect one or more of these accounts. For a general, catch-all type of entry, I recommend using a Journal Entry. Here's how:

Recording a Journal Entry

  1. From QuickBooks Online, click the Plus (+) icon > Journal Entry.
  2. Fill out the form to include the information needed on the entry.
  3. Once finished, click Save and close.

Check out our detailed guide on recording journal entries or the video tutorial below to learn more:

By doing this, you can access the General Journal accounts and make entries as you see fit. Please don't hesitate to reach out to me here anytime you need a hand with QuickBooks, I'm always happy to help. Thanks for dropping in and have a terrific rest of your week.
