It llaunches the first Intuit page and than a white page pops up with the icon turning in the center forever.

it works for the first time only if I delete and install it again, but, after a while if I have to open it again the same happens!

Welcome to the Community,

To start, let's make sure that you're using a device that is compatible with the QuickBooks Online (QBO) mobile app. See the bullets below:

  • For Apple products, your device will need to be running iOS 11.1 or newer.
  • For Android products, your device will need to be running Nougat 7.1.1 or newer.

For reference, read the OS Version supported table in this article: Compare mobile app features.

If verified that you already use the said version, we can perform some mobile app troubleshooting steps to sort out the issue. Let's start with clearing the cache. Follow along below to get started:

For iOS devices:

  1. Select the menu at the top right.
  2. Then, choose Help & Feedback.
  3. Next, click Refresh Data and select Refresh.

For Android devices:

  1. Select the menu at the top right.
  2. Next, choose Settings.
  3. Then, select Refresh Data and click Yes.

Once done, open your app again and check if you can now see the Transaction page without issue. If the same thing happens, I recommend uninstalling and reinstalling the app to refresh the background processes.

For any concerns you may have about managing your transactions using the QBO app, please don't hesitate to leave a reply below. I'm always around in the Community to help. Have a good one.

Hi!

As I told in the first post, this problem started a few days ago.

I use Iphone since day one I work with Quickbooks, my IOS is up to date as always (17.4.1) and the version of the Quickbooks that is running now is 24.05.2

As mentioned I deleted many times and re install the app and at this moment this is the only time the app works, after load my company data, and before some time idling when I have to open it again, same thing happens, first screen with Intuit / Turbotax / etc pops up and instead of the face recognition or any log in page it stays with the little thing spinning in the middle of the screen.

I believe I did everything possible but so far it remains the same.

If your QuickBooks app is stuck on a white screen with a spinning icon, here are some possible reasons and solutions:

Possible Causes

  1. Corrupt Cache or Data – The app’s cache may be preventing it from loading correctly.

  2. Software Bug or Update Issue – A recent update may have caused compatibility problems.

  3. Internet Connection Issues – If QuickBooks requires online verification, a network issue could prevent it from opening.

  4. Firewall or Antivirus Blocking Access – Security software may interfere with QuickBooks.

  5. Windows or Mac OS Compatibility Issues – Some system settings or updates may affect the app’s performance.

Solutions

1. Clear the QuickBooks Cache & Temporary Files

  • If you're using Windows:

    • Press Windows + R, type %localappdata%\Intuit\QuickBooks\, and delete the contents inside the Cache folder.

  • If you're on a Mac:

    • Go to ~/Library/Application Support/QuickBooks and clear cache files.

2. Run QuickBooks as an Administrator (Windows Only)

  1. Right-click the QuickBooks shortcut.

  2. Click Run as Administrator.

3. Check Internet Connection & Firewall Settings

  • Try opening QuickBooks without a VPN or on another Wi-Fi network.

  • Temporarily disable your firewall/antivirus to see if it’s blocking the app.

4. Update QuickBooks & Your System

  • Reinstall QuickBooks:

    • Windows: Uninstall QuickBooks from Control Panel > Programs, then download the latest version from Intuit.

    • Mac: Drag QuickBooks to the Trash, then reinstall from Intuit’s website.

  • Update Windows or macOS: Make sure your OS is up to date.

5. Try QuickBooks Web Version

  • Go to and log in to the web version.

  • If the web version works, the issue is likely with the desktop app.

6. Contact QuickBooks Support

If none of the above solutions work, you may need Intuit Support:

I appreciate you notifying us about your situation, Taylored energy.

To confirm, have you already tried the recommendations on this thread about clearing the app's data? If not yet, I suggest eliminating them to narrow down the result. Refer to the steps below.

Android devices:

  1. Open your device's Settings.
  2. Choose Applications or App Manager (depending on the device).
  3. Locate and select the QuickBooks Mobile app from the list.
  4. Tap on Storage, then Clear Data.

iPhone devices:

  1. Go to your device's Settings.
  2. Choose General and select iPhone Storage.
  3. Locate and pick the QuickBooks Mobile app from the list.
  4. Tap Offload App. This option hides the app and refreshes its data while retaining essential utilities.
  5. Unhide the app by reinstalling it from the App Store.

If you get the same result, I suggest updating the app to its latest release from the Google Play Store or the App Store. You can also consider uninstalling and reinstalling it if the problem persists.

However, if you've already performed the troubleshooting procedures above and still encountered the problem, I recommend contacting our Live Support Team. This way, the issue preventing the app from opening fully will be identified and resolved thoroughly.

Alternatively, you can access your QuickBooks account on your device's web browser. Doing so, you can continue managing your business activities on the platform.

If you have more questions, don't hesitate to get back to this thread.

I am having the exact same issue and it is incredibly frustrating. Deleted app and reinstalled it, it worked for a couple days and now I’m back to the app not opening on my phone. I have to use a computer which is very inconvenient as I do most of my work through the app.

Have you tried clearing the app's cache? This can help remove corrupted temporary files and outdated data that may cause the app to lag or crash. Here’s how to clear the app's cache:

For iOS,

  1. Go to Settings, then tap General.
  2. Select iPhone Storage, then click the QuickBooks Online app.
  3. Tap Offload App.

For Android,

  1. Open your device Settings.
  2. Tap Apps (varies by device).
  3. Select QuickBooks app from the list, then tap Storage.
  4. Tap clear data.

If the issue persists, consider uninstalling and then reinstalling the app. This performs a total reset by wiping away software glitches, broken update fragments, and corrupted local data that a simple clear cache might miss.

Should you have any other concerns, feel free to leave a comment in the thread.
