Hourly plus commission pay

It's always a pleasure to see new faces in the Community, Welcome! Thanks for reaching out to us here. QuickBooks Online Payroll is a great tool to have. It gives you the option to add pay types in addition to regular pay. I would be happy to provide some information. 

Follow the steps below to add a commission pay type for an employee, in addition to regular pay:

1. Go to Payroll and select Employees
2. Select the employee's name.
3. In the Pay type section, click Edit.  
4. Select the Commission checkbox.
5. Select Done.

I appreciate your help Amanda, thank you but unfortunately this does not answer my question. 

I need to pay commissions to an employee based on sales and need to add the commission amount against the cost of the job. I have spoken to two members of the support team and neither can figure out how this should be done. Because this employee is paid both commissions plus and hourly wage (less CSD), I also need this payment to add to his YTD amounts. If anyone has any knowledge of how to do this I would appreciate the help.
