How do I manually upload my backdated milage

Let us guide you on how to manually add backdated mileage in QuickBooks Sole Trader, Geordie3454.

The automatic mileage tracking feature in QuickBooks Sole Trader is great for real-time trips. However, you can also manually enter backdated mileage to record past trips you forgot to track. Here's how:

  1. Go to Expenses and select Mileage.
  2. Click the Add trip dropdown and choose Manage vehicles.
  3. Tap Add vehicle and enter the vehicle’s info. Fill in the details for your trip, and ensure to select the correct date for the past trip.
  4. In the Tax info section, select how you’ll record mileage.
  5. Press Save.

If you have a lot of backdated mileage, we need to enter each trip individually. Please ensure you have your vehicle's information set up before adding mileage. You can do this in the same Mileage section under the "Vehicles" or "Manage vehicles" option. To learn more about this one, check out this article: Automatically track mileage in QuickBooks.
