Hi,
I operate using Quickbooks self employed and provide services on a daily/hourly basis. I provide weekly or monthly invoicing and need to be able to show the date on which a particular service was provided alongside a description of the service thus:
Date Description of service Days/Hours Rate Total
11/03/2021 Handyman services 2 100 200
At the moment the only way I can see that I can over this is to edit the description box to include a date plus the service. Am I correct? If I am then its a major drawback as I will have to have a unique description everytime I provide the same service as I cannot separate date from description.
I can see that having the ability to create an invoice template in QuickBooks Self-Employed is very helpful for the business, thefriendlyghost.
Importing custom form styles for invoices and estimates is available in QuickBooks Online (QBO). At the moment, you'll have to manually edit the description field to include the date when creating invoices in QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE).
You may also want to consider switching from QBSE to QBO. For more QuickBooks Self-Employed articles, read them in this link for more information.
Let me know in the comment section below if you have any other questions about your invoice template. I'll be always around to help.
I have the same complaint about not being able to edit the description fields in Self employed.
I provide the same service like the above client where I need to just have a date column, service description column separated. I do not need all the other features of QBOL...
I need to keep it as simple as possible...
can QB consider allowing simple column edit as ask for by your customer!
