I have QBDT 2022 installed on my computer and had Intuit walk me through the download and installation, but when I try to activate the 2024 version, there is no "activate" option in the help menu of the 22 version. I tried opening my backed up copy of the company, but it will not open because it was saved in a 2024 version. (QBDT was installed on my laptop, but it died and now I need it on my computer, but also need to keep the 22 version if the other company backup from the 22 version won't open in the 24 version.)
Can you login to CAMPS and find your license code there?
There's no need to worry about the company file saved in a newer version in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT), @Robin E. Let me discuss this in detail.
After installing QBDT 2024, you can restore your backed-up file from a portable drive. During the restoration process, you'll be prompted to update your company file to the 2024 version. Please note that once the company file is restored and updated, it cannot be opened in earlier versions.
