Some of my files were corrupted when I upgraded to Quickbooks 2016 for Mac. Data Services fixed the files but added an administrator password before accessing the files. The password that they provided worked last month, but now I cannot login.

I do not have my license number to reset my password.
Good day, @puzzle09!
You can find your license number directly from your account management portal. I'm here to help you accomplish this.
In addition, here's an article you can read to learn more about how you can use this portal: What is CAMPs and How Do I Use It?
Once you have your license number, you can now use the Automated Password Reset tool to reset your company file's password.
Know that you can always visit our Help Articles page for QuickBooks Desktop in case you need some tips and related articles for your future tasks.

My problem is I do not know my admin password. as I have moved and it has been a long time I cannot get into any of my accounts. I have searched for days to find an answer and find nothing and no support phone #. Very frustrated.
Thanks for posting in the Community, @Windy260.
Since you already forgot your admin password and it has been a long time that you're unable to get into your account, I recommend using the password reset tool.
Here's how:
Note: All info entered must match the info in our system. This includes email address, main business phone number, and zip/ZIP code of the primary contact on the account. The access token will be sent ONLY to the email address for the primary contact.
Please feel free to Reply to this thread if you need more help. I'll be around to guide you.
What do you do if all of the information matches in CAMPS, but it still says the details provided don't match. Funny thing is I have an access token from about 10 years ago, so it must have worked then. It is Quickbooks 2008. Does that make a difference?
Thank you for joining in the discussion, @dbetlow.
There may be changes made on your profile that's why it won't accept the details provided. The matching of information must have worked before because all the details entered were correct.
It'd be best to contact our Desktop Support so they can check your account in a secure and safe environment. This way, they can assist you further in resetting your password and accessing your company file.
If you have any questions or clarifications, let me know by leaving a comment. I'm here to help however I can. Have a great day!
Support said they couldn't help me because our version of Quickbooks is too old (2008). However, they couldn't assure me that if we upgraded to a newer version that we would be able reset the admin password either...
Hello, @dbetlow.
You need to have an active and the supported version of QuickBooks so you'll be able to avail the unlimited, 24/7 support on any topic such as resetting your Administrator password. Let me share some information on how to reset the admin password.
Once a version is sunset, it will no longer have connection to the internet. That being said, the information in CAMPS is no longer connected with what you have in your QuickBooks 2008. Instead, let's use the Automated Password Reset Tool to help you access your company file. This process will work using the existing QuickBooks version you're using. You can follow the steps provided by my colleague, @Jovychris_A.
Once completed, you can now start upgrading your QuickBooks to the latest version. To explore the new features available in QuickBooks 2020, you can try downloading the QuickBooks Desktop Trial version. Just make sure to create a back up copy of your QuickBooks 2008 company file prior to starting the upgrading process. By doing so, you’ll always have an intact file to go back and work with when prompted with any error.
To download the trial version, here’s how:
Once completed, follow these steps on how to install QuickBooks:
Once the Trial version is used up, I recommend reaching out to our Customer Care Team to further process your order for the regular QuickBooks Desktop 2020.
Call and ask Intuit Data Service to reset the password. If they refused to do so and you don't have any plan yet to upgrade your QBD version, consider purchasing the 3rd party password reset service. The cost is $50-$100.
@Fiat Lux - ASIA Can you tell me is there a 3rd party password service for mac users. when I google, I only found service for pc. Im using qb mac, and the files are in .qb format. I need the get password reset or removed from the .qb file, so i can re access it.
I have replied your PM. We need your email address to let us forward it to the service provider.
Little bit of a jamb attempted to download the repair tool however can't complete the process because I get an error wrong information. I tried several passwords old and new and continue to get the same error message.
I can't log into my QB's program because I am directed to log in as an admin same problem as with the pass word tools.
Thanks in advance
Rocco

Contact Support and ask for Intuit Data Service to reset Admin password of your company file. Otherwise consider purchasing a 3rd party password reset service.
I upgraded a quicken file to QB. After it converted the file it asked for a password. I entered what I thought was correct but then took me to a reset password screen which I went through and changed my password. When I log in it says the password is incorrect. I called customer support and worked with someone for 2 hours. She tried several different ways to change and reset my password with no luck. She then escalated it to data services but says it can take 6-8 business days to get a reply. This is totally unacceptable. It's the last day of the year and I have payroll for 25 employees on Monday not to mention I have bills to pay over the next 2 weeks. So you have any suggestions on how to resolve this sooner. Maybe another temporary license and account? Please help
All I want to do is open my QB and send it to my accountant. I have had

don't match. My computer is frozen and I can't close or open QB until I get an Admin password that works.
