NACHA files

We recently began Direct Deposit using a program that creates NACHA files. WE have one employee whose ABA routing has been verified with their bank, but when I attempt to upload to NACHA, I get an ABA routing error. Would having him be re-hired cause a glitch somehow? ( I removed his release date in the Employment Info & made him active again).

Hi there, @LeahC.

Thank you for trying to reach out to our Customer Care Team.

I can understand your desire to speak with our phone support right away. We typically have a high call volume and longer than normal wait time at this time. Many of our customers call in for assistance with quarterly forms and taxes.

Meanwhile, the tools that help us verify if your account and bank are properly set up for NACHA file will require your company data. To make sure your confidential data is secure, I recommend reaching out to our phone agents again.

I'll add here their new phone directory: Contact the QuickBooks Desktop Customer Support Team.

Please let me know how the call went or if you have any follow-up questions about payroll. I'm always here to help you more.

Does the number appear here?:  https://routingnumber.aba.com/default1.aspx

The issue is NOT the routing number.

Quickbooks said their system was correct. ACH Universal had me override something in their system that QB was doing --- so the bottom line reason was both companies.

I called QB one last time to fix this before ACH could help -- it takes almost 3 full minutes JUST to get into a holding queue, then on hold for 32 minutes and I gave up --

Hi QB Support Team,

We were advised by our bank if we can utilize Quickbooks to create NACHA compliant files for our ACH payroll.

Appreciate it if you can support us on this specifically NACHA creation process and execution through QB.

Thanks

We discovered a company called Treasury Software that charges about $20 a month to create NACHA files from QB so you can create a direct deposits, withdrawals, or payments with your bank. Give them a call at 866-226-5732. We've been using them for a couple years. Their Customer Support is amazing, and the program is super easy to use.

Just heads up - Treasurey Software's ACH Universal is NOT $20 a month.  It's $20 for the first month.   The other 11 months are $40/month.  Just to be fair when comparison pricing.

And make sure you have a demo PRIOR to using.  I bought it first and have been having a hard time betting customer support to do a demo with me.

Hi MoBr,

I'm sorry you're having problems. We must have hit a promo or something, because we've had Treasury Software now since April 2019 and our monthly bill is a flat $19.95 a month. We only use it to transfer the payroll from QB to a NACHA file to upload with the bank though -- perhaps you're using other features with this program? I don't know. I do know it's probably the easiest part of payroll for me.

Now if I could just get QB to print the second page of a paystub when it's crazy-long...

...and get QB to print the paystubs in the same order as the timesheets print, my life would be a lot easier.

Best of luck to you!
