Thank you for dropping your concern here in the community, @izinyoni.

If you're encountering an error message while working with QuickBooks Point of Sale (POS), there are a few troubleshooting steps you can take to get rid of it.

Before proceeding, make sure you back up your QuickBooks Point of Sale (POS) and QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise file.

Firstly, let's update and install the latest version of QuickBooks POS. Here's how:

  1. Go to Help.
  2. Select Software Update.
  3. Click Check for Updates.
  4. If an update is available, you'll see an option to download and install it.
  5. Select Update now.
  6. Click OK.

If you have already installed the latest version, then let's repair QuickBooks. Follow these steps:

  1. Go to Start.
  2. Select Control Panel.
  3. Under Program and Features, select Uninstall a Program.
  4. From the list of applications, select QuickBooks.
  5. Select Uninstall/Change.
  6. Click Repair.

Next, let's use the Recover Data function to bring in transactions from a specific start date. Here's how:

  1. Go to Financial, then select Financial center.
  2. Click Show Advanced Options.
  3. Proceed with Recover Data Now.
  4. Click Continue on the warning message.
  5. Enter the date range.
  6. Type Yes in the confirmation window and click Continue.

Please note that this is a manual way of transferring data, so use it with caution to avoid duplicating transactions or customers' lists.

After using the Recover Data process, you can use the End of Day procedure to bring in the succeeding data. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Point Of Sale's overview screen, then click End of Day Procedure.
  2. On the End of Day window, ensure that the Exchange data with QuickBooks check box is selected.
  3. Click Start.

If the issue continues to occur, you can contact our Support Team. They can securely access your account and further investigate the cause of the error.
