If you click your QuickBooks icon multiple times, sometimes it won't open right away. Be sure to initially allow the program some time to load before continuing with additional troubleshooting steps.
In the event you see a "QuickBooks needs a subscription" message, you're either in an unsupported version of QuickBooks, or your subscription has expired. You can download a supported version or check a subscription's status from the Customer Account Management Portal.
