1. I am attempting to open my QB Self-Employed app on my iPhone, but I am encountering an error message when the app tries to load, indicating a server error with status code 403 'forbidden'.
2. I followed the suggestion to offload the app from a previous post, but it did not resolve the issue.
3. Additionally, the app prompted me to update it, but when I tried to do so, it said that the update was not available in my region.
4. Please provide guidance on how to address these issues.

Glad to have you here in the community, @Frankdb.

Let's troubleshoot the application to ensure that it works properly. I'm here to guide you through the process.

To get started, please make sure you have a strong internet connection and an updated version of the app to sync the latest data. If your app is not updated to the latest version, please update it.

After that, let's try clearing the application data of your QuickBooks Self-employed (QBSE) app. This process will reset the app to its original state, eliminating any potential issues caused by outdated or corrupted data and ensuring your QBO app functions smoothly.

For iOS:

  1. Go to Help & Feedback at the top of the menu bar.
  2. Choose Reset App Data.
  3. Then Refresh

However, if the issue persists, uninstall and reinstall your QuickBooks Self-Employed app to refresh your device and fix any performance issues.

Furthermore, once everything is functioning properly, learn how to set up and manage everything using QuickBooks Self-employed. Refer to this article for guidance: Overview of QuickBooks Self-Employed

If you have further questions about the QBSE app, feel free to come back to this post and hit reply. I'll be here to lend a helping hand. Keep safe!

1. The application fails to launch, preventing access to the menu bar, displaying only a blank screen devoid of any controls or access.
2. The QBSE QuickBooks Self-Employed app is no longer available on the iOS App Store, and I haven't deleted it. I'm concerned that if I do delete it, I might lose my data. Can you please offer guidance regarding this issue?

1. Can QuickBooks Solopreneur be used with QBSE? Will my data transfer over if I switch to Solopreneur? I primarily utilize it for mileage tracking due to frequent business travel. I am currently on a monthly pay subscription for QBSE, would that automatically convert to Solopreneur or do I need to cancel QBSE and start a new subscription with Solopreneur?

Hi there, Frank.

It's a great choice to switch from QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) to QuickBooks Solopreneur. I'd gladly provide you all the information you need and assist you on your migration.

While transitioning from QuickBooks Self-Employed to QuickBooks Solopreneur, please note that your data will not be migrated automatically. However, there are certain procedures for manually migrating your data. Additionally, you'll need to start a new QuickBooks Solopreneur subscription and cancel your QuickBooks Self-Employed subscription to continue the process.

Here are the steps on how to switch from QBSE to QuickBooks Solopreneur:

  1. Download and save your QBSE data to copy them into QuickBooks Solopreneur.
  2. Go to our QuickBooks Solopreneur's Plans & Pricing page and subscribe to it.
  3. If applicable, you'll need to connect your bank and credit card accounts before moving your data.
  4. After importing your data to QuickBooks Solopreneur, you can cancel your QuickBooks Self-Employed subscription.
