1. I am attempting to open my QB Self-Employed app on my iPhone, but I am encountering an error message when the app tries to load, indicating a server error with status code 403 'forbidden'.
2. I followed the suggestion to offload the app from a previous post, but it did not resolve the issue.
3. Additionally, the app prompted me to update it, but when I tried to do so, it said that the update was not available in my region.
4. Please provide guidance on how to address these issues.

Glad to have you here in the community, @Frankdb.

Let's troubleshoot the application to ensure that it works properly. I'm here to guide you through the process.

To get started, please make sure you have a strong internet connection and an updated version of the app to sync the latest data. If your app is not updated to the latest version, please update it.

After that, let's try clearing the application data of your QuickBooks Self-employed (QBSE) app. This process will reset the app to its original state, eliminating any potential issues caused by outdated or corrupted data and ensuring your QBO app functions smoothly.

For iOS:

  1. Go to Help & Feedback at the top of the menu bar.
  2. Choose Reset App Data.
  3. Then Refresh

However, if the issue persists, uninstall and reinstall your QuickBooks Self-Employed app to refresh your device and fix any performance issues.

Furthermore, once everything is functioning properly, learn how to set up and manage everything using QuickBooks Self-employed. Refer to this article for guidance: Overview of QuickBooks Self-Employed

If you have further questions about the QBSE app, feel free to come back to this post and hit reply. I'll be here to lend a helping hand. Keep safe!

1. The application fails to launch, preventing access to the menu bar, displaying only a blank screen devoid of any controls or buttons.
2. I have not deleted the app because , the QBSE QuickBooks Self-Employed app is not found on the iOS App Store anymore. If i delete it and there is no app available i would lose all my data. Kindly provide guidance on this matter.

You don't have to worry about losing your data after uninstalling the QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) app on your iOS device, Frankdb. There's still a way to get it, and I'll show you how.

Since the application is no longer available for download after March 24, 2024, you can still redownload it directly on your app store account history instead of the app library. Here are the steps to take:

  1. Open the App Store app.
  2. Tap the Sign-in button at the top of the screen.
  3. Click Purchased.
  4. Tick My Purchases or select a family member's name to view the content purchased.
  5. Hit Not on this [device name], which shows the downloaded ones not installed on this device.
  6. Find the app you want to download, then press the Download button.

For more detailed steps, visit this article: Redownload apps and games for your Apple devices from the App Store.

Nevertheless, to help you perform tasks within the app, I have added this link to view some video tutorials: QuickBooks Self-Employed - Mobile App Tutorials.

By this, you're able to reinstall the QBSE app and continue using it in managing your business. Let us know if you have any additional QuickBooks-related questions. We'll be more than willing to help get your queries and concerns sorted out.

After uninstalling the application, I followed your instructions to locate it, but unfortunately, I couldn't find it. It's worth mentioning that a few months ago, I had to create a new Apple ID when I got a new phone. Initially, I had downloaded QuickBooks Self-Employed on my old account, which I no longer have access to. Consequently, the app is not associated with my new account.

I know the importance of reinstalling the QuickBooks Self-Employed app to proceed with your daily business tasks, Frankdb. I'll add some information and share a workaround so you can still access your data.

The previously mentioned steps are mainly for users reinstalling the app under the same account. In your case, since the app is not linked to the new account, it won't appear in the list of purchased apps. However, you can still open and utilize your QBSE account through a web browser.

Moreover, you could also explore reputable third-party websites, similar to Google Play Store and Apple App Store, to find the application installer.

Furthermore, you might consider switching to our QuickBooks Solopreneur product, which offers similar features to QBSE. This product is designed for self-employed businesses and provides basic accounting features such as invoicing, banking, mileage tracking, and more. For more details, check out this article: Introduction to QuickBooks Solopreneur.

This thread is always open if you have questions or concerns about QBSE. We'll ensure to respond to you promptly, Frankdb.

1. Can QuickBooks Solopreneur be used with QBSE? Will my data transfer over if I switch to Solopreneur? I primarily utilize it for mileage tracking due to frequent business travel. I am currently on a monthly pay subscription for QBSE, would that automatically convert to Solopreneur or do I need to cancel QBSE and start a new subscription with Solopreneur?
