Paycheck Detail Report

Could anyone tell me if there is a report that shows the same information as the Paycheck Detail Report? I used to be able to access the report however it is no longer listed in QuickBooks. The Paycheck Detail Report would basically show the same info that shows on a pay stub.

Hello, hgws.

I would like to help you out with the missing Paycheck Detail Report, but I need to clarify some details about this.

Have you run the Client-Ready Payroll Reports before? The Paycheck Detail Report is normally accessed from there, with QuickBooks running an Excel worksheet to generate the report.

As far as the availability goes, the Client-Ready Payroll Reports option is only accessible if you have the Enhanced Payroll for Accountants subscription. By any chance, have you changed your subscription? Or are you currently accessing the company file in a regular (non-accountant) version?

Additional details would gladly help. Looking forward to your reply.

I have not able to customize the "Payroll Detail Review" to show the same things. I basically need a report that will show the same information that is shown on pay stubs without having to have individual pages of each stub. I like to keep each week's pay information for my records and the "Paycheck Detail Report" allowed me to have the info in a condensed form with company totals at the end of the report.

I appreciate you returning to this conversation, @hgws

You can customize the Payroll Detail Review by adding columns. In this manner, the statement would reflect the same information on your pay stub.

Here's how:

  1. Generate the Payroll Detail Review report.
  2. Click The Customize button.
  3. Under the Display tab, proceed to the Columns section.
  4. Put a checkmark on the information you want to show in the report.
  5. Once done, click OK.

Since the YTD Amount won't show in the previous report, you can run another statement like the Payroll Transaction Detail report. Then export them into an Excel file to consolidate the data.

You can also use the following articles to manage and personalize your reports in QuickBooks:

If there is anything else I can do to assist you with customizing payroll reports, please let me know. I would be delighted to help. Keep safe!

Review payroll stubs

Thanks for joining in on this thread, @claude11. I'll be happy to outline the steps on how to review your payroll stubs in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).

If you're an employee and want to access your pay stubs, you can do so in the QuickBooks Workforce. From there, you may view your paycheck details, time off balances, and total pay for the year. To do that:

  1. If you haven't yet, set up your Workforce account.
  2. Once done, log in to workforce.intuit.com.
  3. Click Paychecks and set the period.
  4. Select a pay stub to open and view it.

If you're an employer, you may access them within QBDT. Here's how:

  1. Go to File and select Print Forms.
  2. Click Pay Stubs.
  3. Choose the payroll Bank account.
  4. Put a checkmark beside the pay stub to review.
  5. Select Preview.

Additionally, you may create payroll reports in QBDT to obtain a quick view of your payroll taxes and contributions.
