QuickBooks PDF Component Missing – Unable to Create Invoice PDFs

Hello QuickBooks Support,

We are experiencing an issue with QuickBooks on one of our PCs. We are unable to create or save our invoices as PDF because QuickBooks is showing an error indicating that the PDF component is missing.

We have already installed/reinstalled the PDF-related component/driver, but the issue is still occurring.

The important point is that this issue is happening only on one PC. QuickBooks is working normally on our other computers, and we are able to create invoice PDFs without any problem there.

Could you please advise us on how we can fix the missing PDF component issue on this particular PC?

We would appreciate it if you could provide us with the recommended troubleshooting steps or let us know if there is a specific QuickBooks PDF component that needs to be repaired or reinstalled.

Thank you for your assistance.

@MANOOJANOO786

Since you're unable to save invoices as PDFs and receiving a missing components error message, I'd initially recommend resolving missing components errors in Windows 11.

If you're running Windows 11, be sure to confirm your Microsoft XPS Document Writer is enabled in Windows Features before continuing. You'll also need to allow your computer to print to your XPS printer.

Here's how to resolve missing components errors in Windows 11:

  1. In your Windows 11 search field, enter "Control Panel" then choose Open.
  2. Click Uninstall a program, then Turn Windows Features on and off. You'll see a prompt to login as the Windows admin if you're not logged in yet. Enter your Windows admin credentials to proceed, then hit Yes.
  3. In the Windows Features window, tick the checkbox for Microsoft XPS Document Writer.
  4. Select OK.

If the problem continues, I'd recommend troubleshooting further on that computer with your QuickBooks Tool Hub's Print & PDF Repair Tool.

Please feel welcome to send a reply if there's any additional questions. Have a wonderful Tuesday!
