hello Roger25
Welcome to the Community page,
can I ask what version of desktop do you have?
Desktop 2020 Pro (the trial download version for conversion)
Hello again, roger25. Thanks for confirming.
Right now, the option to import .qbw file directly to QuickBooks Online (QBO) is not possible, You'll need to do it first in QuickBooks Desktop then to QBO.
To help you assist in this process, I'm including some articles below:
You might also want to check this link to know what data can be imported or exported: Import and Export Data in QuickBooks Desktop.
Lastly, since you're importing into QuickBooks Online, I suggest the following link which contains tutorials for the software: QuickBooks Tutorials. This can help to ensure that you get the most out of the software for your business.
Let me know if you have questions or need anything, I'm always here for you. Wishing you a wonderful day ahead!
You need to find a UK download for the trial version. Unfortunately the links above do not work, it just sends you to the US site again. I did manage to find a UK trial version, but cannot reproduce the steps. The file downloaded was QuickBooksUK2020Trial.exe. I can now import some data, but cannot compete the export yet because the instructions do not seem to work.
Hello Roger25,
Can you just confirm if the .qbw is UK or is it US?
Can you just confirm have you got a UK quickbooks version or a US quickbooks?
In your desktop if you go to company > export company to quickbooks online this will move the data out of desktop and into the online account.
You have clicked a link to a site outside of the QuickBooks or ProFile Communities. By clicking "Continue", you will leave the community and be taken to that site instead.
