Where is sign out button?

The Sign out button can be seen in your profile icon in QuickBooks Online (QBO). Let me guide you through the steps on how:
 

  1. In your QBO account, click on the blue profile next to the Gear icon.


     
  2. Then select Sign out.

Where is sign out button?

My "sign out button" is missing too. Seems my profile icon not appearing. This is security risk. Hope it's addressed asap. Screen shot attached is what I am seeing when logged in.

When there is a cache, it affects the functionality of QuickBooks and might result in missing buttons and unexpected feature errors. It is also a method to lessen issues that arises when using QuickBooks.

 

Follow the steps below:

 

1. Restart your browser.

2. Log in to your account and try in an incognito or private browser. You can use these keyboard shortcuts to launch a new private window:

 

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Microsoft Edge: press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Firefox: press Shift + CTRL + P

 

3. If it works on the private browser, go to the regular browser and clear your cache.

4. Then, sign in back your account using your regular browser.

 

You can also use other supported, up-to-date browsers to roll out the possibility of a browser-related issue.  

 

If the error continues, I encourage you to call our QuickBooks Online support team for immediate further assistance to resolve this issue.

  1. Log in to your account.
  2. Click the? Help button at the top right corner.
  3. Go to the Search tab, then select Contact Us.
  4. Enter a brief discussion with your concern, then click Continue.
  5. Choose to Have us call you to connect with us.

Just another item to add to the already long list in the buggy QB Payroll online.  

 

Clearing the cache should work ... as it did for me because my profile button was missing as well.  

 

The real question is why is this a problem and why can't they fix it.  Never mind, I know the answer to the second question.

I wanted to jump on the thread to let you know I checked our backend and found an ongoing investigation (INV-89900). If clearing the cache doesn't work for you, I recommend contacting our Technical Support Team. This way, you can be added to the list of affected users. Once you're added to the list, you will receive email updates and will be notified once this issue has been resolved.

I don't see any blue profile to the right of the gear icon. The Gear Icon is the last icon on the right.  Therefore I cannot log out/sign out either.

There's an ongoing issue while trying to log out from the account. The sign out (logout) button missing. Our Product Engineering team is already aware of this and is now working for a fix.

 

In the meantime, I advise getting in touch with our customer support team so that you can be added to the list of affected users and get an email alert when the problem is fixed.   You can reach them by going to the Help icon at the top right of the account. Then, let them add you to Investigation No. 89900.

 

 

Follow the steps below: 

 

  1. Go to the Help icon to connect to a live support agent. 
  2. Provide us with some information about your concern.
  3. Select the Contact Us button and provide some details about this concern, then on the Let's talk button. 
  4. You'll now be provided options on how to connect to our Customer Support.

In the meantime, here's how you can clear cache and cookies to fix issues when using QuickBooks Online to delete browser cache and Intuit-specific cookies.

Are you saying this won't be fixed for everyone that doesn't add themselves to the "investigation number'? That's ridiculous. Just get it fixed for everyone.

Where is sign out button?

I have never been able to figure out how to size QB in a chrome page view in order to see some missing things on the far right.  You see this problem with a missing  account icon on the far right, including the sign out button.  You also see this problem with a missing far right column in the bank account reconciliation screen.   It cannot be solved with zooming in or out. 

 

The sizing works correctly and automatically in the Safari browser, instead of Chrome.  Why?

There's an ongoing issue (INV-89900) about sign out button missing when logged in to your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account. Our engineers are aware and working to get this fixed as soon as possible. 

 

While we don't have an exact time frame when this will be fixed. I suggest reaching out to our support team so you'll be added as one of the affected users. Here's how: 

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online company.
  2. Select Help (?).
  3. Select either tab to get started:
    • Assistant: Get quick, personalized answers. Select a suggested option, or type a question or topic you need help with. If you decide you need further help, you can still Talk to a human.
    • Search: Search the QuickBooks Online knowledge base directly, or select Contact Us and choose a way to connect with us:
      • Start a chat with a support expert.
      • Get a callback from the next available expert.
