The steps provided above is intended for QuickBook Online users. This is the reason why you have a different user interface in the Payroll Settings.
Base on how you describe the option in your payroll settings, it seems that you're using QuickBooks Online (QBO) for Accountant. No worries, I can still provide you the steps on how you can change to a different bank in QBO for accountant.
Go to the Gear icon at the top right to get to the Payroll Settings.
Click the Pencil icon in the Direct Deposit section.
Update the bank information and click OK to save.
Once done, we'll verify your new account with a test transaction. I've listed things you need to know about test transactions before you get started.
After changing your bank account information, a test transaction should appear in your bank statement in 2-3 business days.
This amount should be a debit and credit of less than $1.00.
You can call your bank or check your bank statement online to verify the amount.
After making the changes, update your bank account in the export preferences. This ensures the paychecks processed through the new bank account are properly listed in the correct check register.
That should do it! Stay in touch with us here in the Community.
