Question

Is anyone else having difficulty with their price rules? Our rules are on but they are not automatically adjusting per customer.

Let's get this working for you, hello-snakeriver.

So far, we haven't received similar issues reported. To get this sorted out, as an initial step, you can press the F5 key on your keyboard to refresh the page.

If you're still getting the same result, we can do some of the basic troubleshooting steps. You can use these shortcut keys depending on the browser you're using:

  • Google Chrome: Press CTRL + Shift + N.
  • Safari: Press Command + Shift + N.
  • Mozilla Firefox: Press CTRL + Shift + P.

Once signed in, go back to your price rules and check if it's adjusting per customer from there. If it rectifies the issue, go back to your main portal and clear its cache to remove the browser's history or you can press CTRL+Shift and Delete key on your keyboard altogether. You may also try accessing your account using another supported browser.

You can go through this article to know more about the Price Rules feature in QuickBooks Online: Set price rules in QuickBooks Online. This will provide you tips on how to apply the rules to your invoices as well as what report to pull up to track them.

I'm only one post away if there's anything else you need. I'll stick around to help you sort everything out in QuickBooks. Have a good one.

Hi, hello-snakeriver.

Hope you're doing great. I wanted to see how everything is going about the price rules. Was it resolved? Do you need any additional help or clarification? If you do, just let me know. I'd be happy to help you at anytime.

Looking forward to your reply. Have a pleasant day ahead!

WHEN I OPEN THE PRICE RULES TAB AND FINISH ADJUSTING PRICES I HAVE TO LOG OUT TO GET OUT OF THE PRICE RULES WINDOW.

IS ANYONE ELSE HAVING THIS ISSUE

I've got you covered, Jmarra.

I'd suggest logging in to your QuickBooks Online account via a private window. This doesn't use the existing cache files, which makes it a good place to determine if this is a browser-related issue.

Here are the keyboard shortcuts:

  • Mozilla Firefox / Internet Explorer: Press CTRL Shift P
  • Safari: Press Command Shift N
  • Google Chrome: Press CTRL Shift N

Once signed, access your price rules. If you're able to do so, let's clear the cache of your browser. This helps remove its stored cache so QuickBooks will perform efficiently.

If private browsing doesn't work, I'd recommend using different browsers. They'll provide you the best and most secure experience with QuickBooks. For more details, see this article: System Requirements For QBO.

Aside from Price rules, you can also create Banking rules in QuickBooks Online. To know more about this, please see this article: Set up Bank Rules to Categorize Online Banking Transactions.

Please let me know what else I can do to help you with the QuickBooks product. Wishing you all the best.
