Unbilled Charges

Maybe a simple fix but Im looking for a way to sort my Unbilled Charges.

I'd love to be able to sort them in descending order by amount but keep the customer attached.

I can customize it down to Customer and amount but not sort them from there. Is there a formula for the customization that I can get down?

Customer 5 ---- $1000

Customer 3 ---- $900

Customer 7 ---- $800

Customer 1 ---- $200

ETC ETC ETC ETC

Unbilled Charges

Hi there, TeeJay13.

Welcome to the QuickBooks Community. I'll share details to ensure you're able to see an option to sort your Unbilled Charges.

Yes, you can customize and sort the Unbilled Charges in descending order by amount with its customer name. To do this, I suggest going to the Sales page and make sure to click the Unbilled activity tile. From there, you'll have the option to click the small drop-down arrow. This way, you're able to arrange them in descending order or from largest to smallest amount.

Here's how:

  1. Click the Sales menu on the left panel.
  2. Choose All Sales section.
  3. Click the Unbilled Activity blue tile.
  4. Keep clicking the small arrow in the Unbilled amount column until it will show in descending order.

In case you're unable to perform or you don't have the options of what is stated above, I recommend logging in to your QuickBooks account using a private browser. This is to rule out the possibility of a webpage issue, and private browsing doesn't store local files or cache.

Use these keyboard shortcuts based on the browser you're using.

  • For Firefox or Microsoft Edge, press Ctrl + Shift + P.
  • For Chrome, press Ctrl + Shift + N.
  • For Safari, hold down Command + Shift + N.

If it works in incognito, I recommend clearing the cache of your regular browser. This removes the history or log of sites so you can start with a clean slate. You can check this article to see the steps: Clear cache and cookies to fix issues when using QuickBooks Online.

If the steps above didn't work, use another supported browser as alternatives.

Please refer to this article to see details on how the Sales page gives you the summary of your customer's transactions like open and paid invoices: View sales transactions.

Loop me in if you need further assistance with sorting entries in QuickBooks Online. Assistance is just one click away. You have a good one.
