downloaded transactions QB for mac lack detail

Hello, I am downloading transactions from my bank. My bank transaction descriptions are complete when I see them online, including type of transaction AND the details of that transaction (who was paid or paying, etc).

 

When the transactions show up in the QB download window, however, before I add them, they only have the transaction TYPE such as PREAUTHORIZED ACH DEBIT or BOOK TRANSFER CREDIT. No detail about what the transaction was or who it was to, etc. If I can't get this resolved it will be hours of work for me to write in all the descriptions and match transactions.

 

I called the bank and they say that since the connection between the bank and QB is fine, this is a QB question. I am on a Macbook, desktop QB, version 2019. Program says it's up-to-date. Please HELP. I think I found a similar resolution for QB online, but that isn't helping me, of course.

I appreciate sharing your thoughts about the lack of detail on the downloaded QuickBooks transactions. I can see your point on that and let me share some insights about this. 

 

Having more detailed descriptions on the downloaded transactions is a great idea. That being said, I'm going to be submitting feedback to our Product Development Team to review and consider making this an option soon. 

 

Product updates are the results of comments provided by users. You can also submit feedback on your end. That way, our engineers will receive multiple suggestions on how beneficial this feature would be. To do so, click on the Gear icon, then choose Feedback.

Hello, Again,

 

I want to be clear that QB USED to provide the more detailed transaction info. It just recently stopped. So something that was there is no longer there. It isn't a deficiency in the original QB features because it WAS there and now is not. I'm wondering what might have changed in QB and how I can get the feature that was there back again.
