Hey there, Stew.

I'm happy to help. Can you elaborate on what you're trying to edit so I can help you to the best of my ability. In the meantime, I'll provide the steps to edit an account type.

Here's what you'll need to do:

  1. Click the Gear icon at the top.
  2. Under Your Company, pick Chart of Accounts.
  3. Locate the sub-account you'd want to change.
  4. Select Edit from the Action column drop-down menu,
  5. In the Account dialogue, clear the Is sub-account checkbox.
  6. Choose the new Account Type from the drop-down menu.
  7. Pick the appropriate Detail Type from the drop-down list.
  8. Hit Save and Close and Yes in the prompt to change the account.

You can follow the above steps for the other sub-accounts you'd want to change. Then, change the account type for the parent account.

To know more about this process, check this article: How to change the type of an existing parent account or sub-account.

If you have any other questions, feel free to post down below, otherwise, I look forward to hearing back from you.
