How to delete direct deposit ?

Before diving into the process canceling a direct deposit, we'll have to take note that once the direct deposit has been offloaded for ACH processing, Intuit can no longer stop the Direct Deposit. In addition, the offload time for ACH processing of your direct deposit happens at exactly 5:00 p.m. Pacific time, 2 banking days before the paycheck date.

We'll have to void the direct deposit paycheck that If it's already been processed. If it's not, we can simply delete it. I can show you how.

Voiding a paycheck:

1. Select the Employees from the top menu bar, then choose Payroll Center.
2. In the Pay Employees tab, go to the Other Activities section and select Edit/Void Paycheck.
3. Choose the paycheck you need, then select Void.
4. Once the check is voided, you will see VOID: display in the memo section of the paycheck.
5. Select Done to close the edit window.
6. Go to Employees drop-down menu and choose Send Payroll Data.
7. Select Go Online, enter your Payroll Service PIN, then select OK.

Please know that voiding the direct deposit paycheck in QuickBooks Desktop will not stop the Direct Deposit from posting to your employee's bank account.

Here's how to delete a check:

1. Select the Employees from the top menu bar, then choose Payroll Center.
2. Locate and open the paycheck.
3. Select the Delete icon, then choose Delete check.
4. Select OK to permanently delete the transaction.
