This usually happens because your profile is recognized as an Accountant user rather than a standard Business user. This can occur if your email was originally invited to a QuickBooks Online Accountant (QBOA) firm or if the Accountant version was selected during sign-up. To identify your current user type, here's how:
Go to the Gear icon.
Select Manage users.
Look for your name and see the Role column to determine your current user type. If you're listed as Accountant, QuickBooks will default to the Accountant view to give you specialized tools.
If you are an admin and simply want to see the standard business layout, you can often toggle the view without changing your user type.
Moving forward, if you are a bookkeeper who needs accountant tools but prefers the business layout, you can stay in Business View permanently. This way, QuickBooks will remember your preference the next time you log in.
You can click the Reply button if you have other questions about QuickBooks.
