Bank Dividends QB Self Employed

Hi,

I am wondering how to categorize bank dividends I have received and need to file a 1099-INT for. I use Quickbooks Self-Employed. Is there a way to do this?

Good to see you here, Teia_M.

You can categorize it as Income. Although, I'd still recommend checking with your accountant for further advice to make sure that you're using the right category for this type of transaction.

Processing of 1099-INT is not offered in QuickBooks. You'll want to use TurboTax or a different app to help you file the form. Here's a link that will route you to TurboTax: https://turbotax.intuit.com/.

You can also check out these articles for additional reference when filing the form:

Hi Teia_M,

Hope you’re doing great. I wanted to see how everything is going about adding bank dividends in QuickBooks. Was it resolved? Do you need any additional help or clarification? If you do, just let me know. I’d be happy to help you at anytime.

Looking forward to your reply. Have a pleasant day ahead!
