I am new to Quickbooks online. I am trying to print packing slips put when I choose the invoice I need a packing slip for in the batch option of print packing slip is not available (there but in gray so not available). It is there but unavailable. How can I print packing slips? Very frustrating as I could do it easily with the desktop version. Any suggestions much appreciated.

You have to switch back to the old layout. In the Invoice editing interface (open an invoice and edit) at the top right corner is an option to "switch to old layout". Click this, confirm the selection and you will be able to print packing slips again. We will all be subject to the new layout automatically on 10/16/23 according to QBO. Hopefully they create a packing slip option for the new layout by then.

Good luck.

You've come to the right place for assistance, @hatcarp. I'm here to provide info about printing your packing slips.

You may have selected a different transaction type. Make sure to only select the invoice. The print packing slip option is grayed-out because you may have selected another transaction that is not an invoice.

If this doesn't work, we will perform the browser troubleshooting as this may be a cache-induced error.

Here's how:

  1. Try using a private or incognito browser.
  2. Restart your browser.
  3. Clear your browser's cache.
  4. Add Intuit as a trusted site.

If this doesn't work, try changing the default location of the downloaded files. Follow the set of instructions for your browser type.
