is there any way to add classes to hundreds of transactions by exporting them out the QBO and then inputting them back into QBO without causing duplications inside QBO of these same transactions

 

 

if this can be done; please let me know

i am sorry but you did not explain what to do

step 1

by the way i do have transaction pro for imports and exports we use it for payroll

ive done alot of imports and exports on the dest top version but not on line

i find it hard to test when you have an account online 

you can not make a test back up online and use that to test with like you can with a desktop version

but if i had the steps i think i can work from that

 

#1 how do i get all transactions that do not have a class downloaded

or do i download all transactions class and no classes

 

#2 when i am done adding the class where i need it can i import those same transactions back to system and not have my transaction duplicated in the process

 

 

 

 

 


1. Create a backup point by using a backup restore application. Please note, You should continue to create multiple backup points at every step if needed

2. Export transactions to XLS with the exporter tool. You should start from only 2-3 transactions to learn the process.

3. Delete transactions in your QBO account with the deleter tool

4. Modify the exported transaction in XLS to add Class. You will get to prepare the modified transactions with the following template.

5. Re-import transactions to your QBO account.

I understand the importance of this function of being able to change class by batch action. I'm here to drop you some information.

 

We need to change it at a time since this option isn't available in QuickBooks Online. 

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Go to Sales. 
  2. Choose the Invoices tab.
  3. Find the invoice from the list and click it.
  4. Change the Class of the invoice.
  5. Click Save and close.

Utilize the 3rd party apps as I mentioned earlier. Otherwise, consider purchasing a 3rd party service to do so.
