Editing & Saving Custom Reports

I have a custom report created, let's call it 'All Customers Unpaid'. I've shared it with others on my team. Everytime I edit and then save it, it looks fine in my QuickBooks login. But when other team members go to find it, it's saved as 'All Customers Unpaid-1' or 'All Customer Unpaid-2' and so on and so forth.

How do I prevent it from creating a new file with a number after it EACH time I update the report?

Hello skempergsd,

I'm here to answer your query with regard to sharing reports in QuickBooks Online.

Every time you share a report with your members and modify it, it looks fine on your end. However, it will show a number on your member's end. It indicates the number of times it was modified.

As of now, we're only able to share a modified report with a number. With that, I suggest sending feedback to our developers. Lots of customers would want this feature as well. Here's how you can send one:

  1. Click the Gear icon.
  2. Under PROFILE, select Feedback.
  3. Type in a few words to describe your suggestion.
  4. Click Next.

Furthermore, you can check this article as your guide in customizing reports: Learn how to get the most out of your financial reports.

I'm always around whenever you need help customizing reports.
