QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) is a special version of QuickBooks built especially for freelancers, independent contractors, and service-based entrepreneurs. It mainly focuses on recording your business-related transactions to account for your federal and estimated taxes calculation.

Right now, the option to create a chart of account is unavailable since QBSE is not a double-entry bookkeeping program and does not contain registers.

The feature you're looking for is available in QuickBooks Online, where you can create a specific account for charitable donations. You can test out the product for 30 days if you're unsure about committing to a new version of QuickBooks. You can use this link to subscribe: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/online/.

If there are any features that you’d like to learn more about QuickBooks Self-Employed, I’d recommend checking out this Community article: QBSE Help Articles.
