Open Balance Report

Hello,

I am trying to run a report that has all the current customers whether or not they have a zero balance or an actual balance. All I want for this report is the total for that customer. Right now the report that I am running has all the invoices with the report and I would just like the total.

I'm running this report for my sale and management commissions. I need all current customers, and I need to know if they were all paid in full or if they are not.

Is there a way to do this?

Thanks!

Good day, AllysonR24.

I can recommend two reports that would help you get the data that you need.

First, you can run the Sales by Customer Summary report. This will provide you with a list of customers and their total sales amount for the selected time period.

  1. Go to the Reports menu and proceed to the Report Center
  2. Proceed to the Sales tab.
  3. Select Sales by Customer Summary.

Second, run the Customer Balance Summary report. However, this will only show the current open balance of each customer. Allow me to provide you with these steps:

  1. Go back to the Reports menu and proceed to the Report Center.
  2. Proceed to the Customers and Receivables tab.
  3. Click Customer Balance Summary.

@JenoP  RE: Click Customer Balance Summary.

Does the Customer Balance Summary report the OP will get after following your instructions show "all the current customers whether or not they have a zero balance or an actual balance"?  No, no it doesn't.

Did you even try running the report to see if it does that the OP asked for? Seems not.

Maybe try again.

@BigRedConsulting - I like your reply.

@AllysonR24 - Customer balance Summary > Customize Report > Advanced... > Display Rows = All.
