Offering discounts or earning commissions for referring new paying subscribers to QuickBooks is only available for QuickBooks Online. This is done by applying and getting approved to join the QuickBooks Business Affiliate Program. Currently, the option to get a referral code to send to a friend for signing up as a new member of QuickBooks Self-Employed is unavailable on both the web and mobile platforms. Our marketing team has concluded that the feature is not being utilized enough to justify investing additional engineering resources in maintaining it going forward.
