cannot update payroll tax table

I am using QuickBooks Desktop Premier 2024 (Release R18P) with an active Canadian Payroll subscription.

My Payroll subscription is active and billing is up to date, but Manage Service Key is completely blank.

Payroll Tax Table is still version 12234003, expiring on June 30, 2026, and I cannot download the new tax table.

To fix the blank Manage Service Key window and reactivate your Canadian Payroll subscription, update QuickBooks to the latest release and run the program as an administrator to resynchronize with the software’s servers and download the latest tax tables.

 

Next, revalidate your registration:

 

  1. Go to the Help menu and select Manage My License.
  2. Click Sync License Data Online.

 

Once these steps are complete, you can proceed to update your payroll tax table.

I am also unable to update payroll tax tables. I am using Desktop Premier Accountant Edition 2024 (R21P) with an active Canadian payroll subscription. What you suggested above has not worked.

Remove and re-enter your 16-digit service key to restore synchronization in QuickBooks Desktop and proceed with the update. Sometimes the sync reports success even if the file fails to retrieve the active key.

Here's how:
 

  1. Go to the Employees menu, hover over My Payroll Service, and select Manage Service Key.
  2. Highlight your active payroll service and click Edit.
  3. Note down your 16-digit service key, delete it, and then re-enter the exact same key.
  4. Click Next. If prompted to set up your payroll immediately, uncheck the Open Payroll Setup box.
  5. Select Finish.
