I'm only able to receive my login verification code via SMS and I need to get it by email.
Solved! Go to Solution.
In order to see both options (SMS and Email) Two-step verification will need to be turned off in Your Account.
This will allow you the option to choose Email to receive the verification code.
To do this:
1. Navigate to Your Account (see link above)
2. Select Sign in & Security
3. Choose Two-step verification and Turn Off
4. You will then be asked to enter your password to proceed.
Note: Turning off two-step verification will not prompt a code to be entered every time you login. Once Two Step verification is disabled, the code can be sent to email or phone. When the code is entered, it will save a cookie in browser which expires only if cookies are cleared. If you require a code to be entered each time you may need to clear your browser cookies before logging in or set your browser to do this automatically when it is opened.

Hi ,
I try to verify my mobile - so I can add an accountant to the Online app - but get an error
"Country code not supported for sending text messages"
I have tried all the steps and it does not work.
If i cannot connect my account - because I cannot verify my phone number - there is no point in using the application..
Please help resolve thanks.
Good day, BBYRNE.
Thanks for joining us here. Let me join this thread so I can help you in verifying your mobile number.
When adding a phone number, make sure to select the correct country and include the area code. You can edit it if necessary.
In addition, this could be because of the browser you're using. You'll want to use an incognito window and verify it from there. Here are some of the keyboard shortcuts:
Also, it could be that accumulated temporary internet files are the root cause of this unusual behavior. I suggest you clear the cache and make sure you're using a supported and up-to-date browser.

Hello,
This does not work.
I have tried 2 different browsers and incognito mode.
I have also tried the voice call feature.
Same error message. - "Country code not supported for sending text messages"
Does this feature work for Ireland .. I cannot verify my mobile number - so cannot connect my accountant to the application.
Please help. Thanks.
Good day, @BBYRNE.
Thanks for following the recommended steps that were shared above. I'm here to you in accessing your QuickBooks account.
I can see that you've posted your concern in QuickBooks Community for Australia. To verify the issue, let me ask you a few questions so I can provide you the right solution.
Are you using the QuickBooks Online Australia version?
If so, you have to use a mobile phone number that is registered for this country to open the account. This way, your accountant could connect to the application.
This can be also the reason why you're getting the error "Country code not supported for sending text messages". To clear this out, make sure to use a phone number with the same area/country code as your QuickBooks version.
If your business is located in Ireland, you can subscribe to QuickBooks Online Ireland version instead. This way, you can use an Ireland mobile number to verify your account.
As always, feel free to visit our QuickBooks Community help website if you need tips and related articles in the future.

Please help me fix so I can verify the mobile - so I can add the accountant - so I can trial the software.
Maybe ask technical support why no verification code is arriving ? Thanks..
