Hello Colin_Four_Ferry,
Welcome to the Community - thank you for your question!
To confirm, have you made those codes inactive on the computer?
Thanks,
Talia
Do you know which version of the app your client is currently using? Could you make sure they are using the most up to date version, so either update the app or uninstall and reinstall?
Once they have done this, could you then check if the codes are still showing, as this should update automatically.
Thanks,
Talia
Hello
Thanks for trying that.Okay on the android phone can we ask you to close the app, not by minimising it but fully close it down to refresh the data.Does it refresh with the inactive codes?Alternatively if you go in the app to help>app refresh it should do the same thing.
Let us know if the outcome is the same
Thanks
Emma
Could you please confirm the version number of the Android app being used?
Thanks,
Talia
Hi Colin_Four_Ferry,
Thanks for checking that. We have raised this with our technicians for further investigation, we've sent you an email with further information on this :)
Hi,
I have the exact same problem. deactivated on the online version and still can not remove it on the android app.
Hello, @Mohamed Lebda.
It's possible that piled-up cache in your application caused this unusual behavior. To resolve this, you can hit the Clear Data option in the Storage section of your mobile phone to reset the app to its default state.
Here's how to clear app cache or data storage if you're using an android:
You can check this article to solve the common error in the mobile application: Common Errors in the Mobile App. Also, here's the list of VAT codes in QuickBooks: Common VAT Codes.

Thank you for response.
I tried
- logging out and signing in
- uninstalling the app and reinstalling it
- I tried clearing Cache
- I tried clearing data
I still have the Tax Rate drop-down menu in every product I am choosing which is extremely inconvenient and slowing me down, as my average item is almost $10.
The tax rate I have was created by a 3rd party integration app called Katana that I have completely disconnected to try to solve this problem.
Hey there, Mohamed Lebda.
I appreciate your effort in performing some troubleshooting steps beforehand. I want to make sure you'll get the best help possible concerning VAT rates on the mobile app.
So far, we haven't received similar issues reported. Since Community is a peer-to-peer forum, I won't be able to check your account without asking for sensitive information.

I'm having the same problem, I can select no Vat as default on the computer but not my android phone, latest update, have tried everything.
This problem is very annoying and obviously isn't isolated to the people that have already brought it up.
Hello Mighty try Xero,
Thanks for commenting on this thread,
Is it not giving you the option to select no vat on the app?
What are the options it is giving you to choose from?
