Can not access account?

Hi there, @elvysrosa23-gmai

Can you share with me where exactly did you get the error message? Are you getting this when accessing your QuickBooks Self-Employed account or your bank accounts? This way, I can provide you with the appropriate steps to help resolve the error. Any additional info would be much appreciated.

In the meantime, let's try running some troubleshooting steps. Doing this will help us check if the problem is related to a cache problem.

To do it, sign in to your QBSE account using a private browser. This helps isolate the issue since it doesn’t store data in the cache. Here are the following keyboard shortcuts:

  • Safari: Command + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: CTRL + Shift + P
  • Google Chrome: CTRL + Shift + N
  • Microsoft Edge: CTRL + Shift + N

If it works, here's how to clear cache and cookies to fix issues when accessing accounts in QBSE. Restart your browser right after.

As the fiscal year comes to an end, it's time to file your taxes. Here's our general guide for self-employed individuals, freelancers, and independent contractors to help you prepare: QuickBooks Self-Employed Annual Tax Guide.

I’m always ready to assist you if you have any other questions or concerns about managing your accounts in QBSE. Tag me in your reply and I’ll sprint back into action. Have a good one and keep safe.

Let me share additional troubleshooting steps to resolve this error message, elvysrosa23.

Before that, have you tried the recommendation provided above? If not yet, I suggest to do so. Please know that when you encounter the fetching data issue, it can be due to stored data in your browser's cache. These temporary files can sometimes become corrupted or outdated, causing problems with how QuickBooks Online loads and displays content.

On the other hand, if clearing your main browser's cache doesn’t make a change, you can use other supported browsers as an alternative. Just ensure to enter the correct login URL, username, and password.

If none of these fixes the problem, it’s best to contact our support team for assistance. They can take a closer look at your situation and investigate this further.

Here’s how:

  1. Click the Help (?) icon at the top.
  2. Select Contact Us.
  3. You can enter “Encounter fetching data issue when logging in” in the box.
  4. Tap Continue, then choose a way to connect with us:
