Frequent account disconnects

Security info needed

Mind if we verify that you're you? We do this from time to time to protect your info. (185)---Your bank or financial institution requires more information after you enter your credentials. I  bank with NF Credit Union and I've called QB to see if they can prevent my account from disconnecting every 15-20 mins or if I refresh the page. I've called QB and the bank and QB has an open investigation about the issue, but no estimate of when it will be resolved. Anyone else have the same problem? If so, what did you do?

Thanks Kevin,

I appreciate the sympathy and that you're working to investigate.

It would be helpful to manage expectations about the timeline for investigation. Otherwise I can expect anywhere between an instant and never.

I looked at the link you provided. The information provided, while accurate, doesn't provide a "fix" to keep my account connected for more time than a two factor authentication takes to expire (typically 30-60 seconds). Please do keep me posted and I'll keep my eyes open for the email update.

My quickbooks is having the same issue. Having to reconnect my bank account daily. Not as bad as every 20 minutes but still incredibly frustrating. Any solution would be greatly appreciated.

Was there ever a fix for this? We have the same issue. Every time I log in, or refresh it has me verify with a code via text message.

I have some information that I want to impart about the text message that you're receiving. This will give you a clearer picture of why this is important and guide you on what to do, Burn.

Intuit strives to provide you with the best security in your account. The SMS text verification lets you double-check a user's identity. Normally, this happens after you enter your login credentials, and are then asked to give the code to completely sign in to your account.

If you want to turn off the two-step verification, follow the steps outlined below:

  1. Sign in to your Intuit Account.
  2. Select Sign in & security.
  3. Choose 2-step verification.
  4. Turn off the Use 2-step verification switch.
  5. Enter your account password, then select Continue.

Please know that once you opt out of this feature, we'll still ask you to verify the first time you sign in on an unrecognized device. For more details about the verification process, read this article for more information: Verify Your Intuit Account With Multi-Factor Authentication Or Two-Step Verification.

Additionally, you may want to familiarize every part of QuickBooks to make sure it delivers the best for your business and know some of the features that are considered important. Check out this link to learn your way around with QuickBooks: Get Started With QuickBooks Online.

Let us know if there is anything else that you need so we can get you back on track with QuickBooks or if you have other questions about the verification process. We're here to do the best that we can and ensure to get you covered.
