Multiple chase bank accounts with same login

I have two businesses with QBO. When I linked my Chase account, I accidentally linked my checking accounts for both businesses to my first businesses' QBO profile. Now when I try to link my second checking account to my second QBO business profile, it says my second checking account is already linked with QBO. How to I disassociate my checking account from the first QBO profile so I can add it to the second?

Multiple chase bank accounts with same login

Glad to have you back here in the Community, @rycotter. I'll provide the steps to disconnect your checking account from the first QuicBooks Online profile so you can add it to your second account. We can accomplish this with just a few marks.

You can disconnect the account by following these steps:

  1. On the left navigation bar, hover your cursor on the Banking menu or Transactions menu and choose Banking.
  2. Choose your bank account.
  3. Click the pencil ✎ icon, then press Edit account info.
  4. On Disconnect this account on the save checkbox put a checkmark.
  5. Hit Save and Close.

For detailed information, refer to this article: Disconnect accounts connected to online banking in QuickBooks Online.

To learn more about uploading bank transactions, including the supported file types and instructions for adding information for accounts not connected to QuickBooks, you may also read this article: Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online.

Hello there, @ADDY1986.

I appreciate you taking the time to perform some possible ways to connect your other business checking account in QuickBooks Online (QBO). Before connecting your bank accounts in QuickBooks, you must know how your bank sends the downloaded transactions.

If your bank only downloads the entries to one account, you have to connect the parent account. On the other hand, if the transactions download to the individual account, you connect the subaccounts instead of the parent one.

When it's time you need to reconcile your transactions, you only need to reconcile the parent account because all the entries in the subaccounts roll up into it.

For detailed information, kindly visit: About bank or credit card subaccount setup.
