Accountant Center change

I reconcile my bank accounts each month in Quickbooks.  For some reason, on the Accountant Center screen, the "current balance" shown for my main checking account is incorrect (in the reconciliation section).  Do you know why?   How can I change it to be correct?

Hello @Cabinets1,

In QuickBooks Desktop, the current balance showing on your account is based on the transactions on your register. They may be from the list of transactions you've reviewed from the bank feeds or manually created entries for your business transaction.

Now to fix this, it is recommended to review and compare the list of your transaction in the register with what is showing on your statement of account provided by your bank. This way, you can identify the transactions causing the discrepancy of the current balance and delete them to fix it.

On top of that, I've also included this reference helpful for the steps needed in balancing your checkbook and regularly reviewing your accounts in QuickBooks: Use this guide anytime you need help doing or fixing a reconciliation.

Am having problems with Accountant Center since updating to QB 2022. The refresh button on the Accountant center does not work, and as requested earlier, does not reconcile with my bank account. My accounts are reconciled the Accountant Center is not working as it should. The only way I have found to make this work is to close the Accountant center and re-open. Hardly a very good QB feature to have to close it out to "refresh it". What;s up with the buggy 2022 updates version???

I confirm I am having the same issue in QuickBooks Accountant Desktop 2020 after installing recent application updates.

We would really like a fix for this issue as soon as possible.

This isn't the experience that we want you to have, @Kason Kellstrom.

I'd like to share some insights about the Accountant Center not working in QuickBooks Desktop.

Based on your scenario, I suggest using the Verify and Rebuild Utility Tools. This helps resolve possible errors on your company file. I can walk you through how:

To Verify data:

  1. Open the File menu and click on Utilities.
  2. Choose Verify Data, then hit OK to exit all windows.
  3. Once data is verified, you can rebuild your company file to fix any errors or data damage that's found.

To Rebuild data:

  1. Return to the File menu and choose Utilities.
  2. Click on Rebuild Data, then hit OK to exit all windows.

For future references, here's how you can manage reconciliation in QBDT:

It's my pleasure to be of help. Fill me in if you need extra guidance with this matter. Take care always!
