Accountant Center change

I reconcile my bank accounts each month in Quickbooks.  For some reason, on the Accountant Center screen, the "current balance" shown for my main checking account is incorrect (in the reconciliation section).  Do you know why?   How can I change it to be correct?

Hello @Cabinets1,

In QuickBooks Desktop, the current balance showing on your account is based on the transactions on your register. They may be from the list of transactions you've reviewed from the bank feeds or manually created entries for your business transaction.

Now to fix this, it is recommended to review and compare the list of your transaction in the register with what is showing on your statement of account provided by your bank. This way, you can identify the transactions causing the discrepancy of the current balance and delete them to fix it.

On top of that, I've also included this reference helpful for the steps needed in balancing your checkbook and regularly reviewing your accounts in QuickBooks: Use this guide anytime you need help doing or fixing a reconciliation.

Don't hesitate to post again here if you have other questions or concerns with QuickBooks tasks and navigations. I'm always around happy to help. Stay safe and have a good one!

I agree this is not working for me as well across QBDTA 2020, 2021 and 2022.

Very frustrating. And I agree it started after a recent "update" that rendered it inoperable. Almost as if they were intentionally trying to eliminate a feature and functionality which many of us accountants used regularly. Please fix this bug in the update.

Thanks Kurt, We have all determined we are having the same issue that appears to have started after the recent update. We have attempted Intuit's recommendations and have let them remotely connect to attempt to resolve the issue without success.

We are still having this issue within the application.

If Intuit cannot resolve the issue that appears was created within this application after the recent update then I have no other solution I can offer my customer but to use different software for accounting purposes that functions properly.
